Microsoft calls you at home to repair a computer virus: It’s a scam

There’s no way Microsoft or anyone else would know if you have a virus unless they’re the Hacker that put the virus on your comptuer!

If someone calls you at home, claiming to be Microsoft engineers wanting to get rid of a virus on your computer, it’s no doubt a scam. That’s the word the local Better Business Bureau put out today, warning residents in the Columbus and Phenix City

Be careful out there. The chief causes of viruses and other Malware, imo, are clicking on links in questionable websites, or emails and not having a good up-to-date Free Anti-Virus on your computer. I like Microsft Security Essentials. I love the tag line. “The anti-annoying, anti-expensive, anti-virus program”
